About Me
My Origins
I was homeschooled in West Jordan, Utah, met the love of my life at Brigham Young University, and now live with her and our two kids in Columbus, Ohio. I love wearing capes.
My Education
I majored in ancient Near Eastern studies and minored in editing. The former influences the subject matter of my fantasy, the latter the grammar.
My Day Job
I am the operations manager for Latter-day Saints in Publishing, Media, and the Arts (LDSPMA), where I get to interact with incredible authors and publishers every single day.
My Values
I am a fervent believer in Jesus Christ. I am also a champion of the family as the foundational unit of society. These values shape every story I write.
“I was really impressed with how well thought out and well balanced the magic and races were. There is a good variety in the species and their abilities. Each makes sense, has its own strengths and weaknesses. All are familiar enough to not be too overwhelming, but also unique in creative and intriguing ways.”
